The Retro Watch Club is an online retailer of authenticated vintage and pre-owned watches, operating from India and shipping worldwide. Throughout this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to The Retro Watch Club. You can reach us at any time through our contact page.
Information We Collect
When you place an order
We collect your name, billing address, delivery address, email address and phone number. We also record what you bought, when, and for how much.
When you pay
We never see or store your full card details. Payments are processed directly by our payment provider, who handles your card or banking information under their own security standards. We receive only a confirmation that payment succeeded or failed, along with the last few digits of the instrument used and a transaction reference.
When you create an account
We store your name, email address, password (encrypted, never in readable form) and any addresses you choose to save, so you do not have to re-enter them.
When you contact us or subscribe
If you send us a message, we keep your name, email address and what you wrote, so we can reply and refer back to the conversation. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address until you unsubscribe.
When you simply browse
Like most websites, we collect basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and which pages you viewed. This is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used and to keep it secure. See our Cookie Policy for detail on the cookies involved.
Why We Use It

Who We Share It With
We share the minimum necessary with the services that make the store work:
- Payment providers — to take payment and process refunds
- Courier and logistics partners — your name, address and phone number, so your watch can be delivered
- Our web host and email provider — who store the data on our behalf
- Analytics providers — aggregated usage data, not your order details
- Professional advisers and authorities — where we are legally required to disclose
Some pages embed content from third parties such as Instagram. When that content loads, the provider may receive your IP address and set its own cookies. We do not control this; please refer to that provider’s own privacy policy.
International Transfers
We operate from India and ship internationally. Some of the services we rely on — hosting, email, analytics and payment processing — store or process data outside India. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information remains protected to a comparable standard.
How Long We Keep It
Order and invoice records are kept for as long as applicable tax and accounting law requires. Account details are kept until you ask us to delete the account. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact enquiries are kept for as long as they remain useful for support, and then removed.
Your Rights
You may ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Provide a copy of it
- Correct anything that is wrong or out of date
- Delete it, where we are not required to keep it for legal reasons
- Stop sending you marketing — you can also unsubscribe from any newsletter using the link in the email
To make any of these requests, get in touch through our contact page. We will respond within a reasonable time. Note that we may need to keep certain order records even after a deletion request, where tax law obliges us to.
Security
This site is served over an encrypted connection, passwords are stored in hashed form, and access to order data is limited to those who need it to run the store. No system is perfectly secure, but we take the protection of your information seriously and act promptly if a problem arises.
Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.
